Role Overview
BDR Solutions, LLC is seeking a Pricing Analyst to join the BDR Growth Team. The Pricing Analyst will be responsible for independently and collaboratively developing competitive pricing strategies, cost proposals, and cost narratives. The Pricing Analyst will lead our cost/price activities, conducting thorough RFP reviews, ensuring compliance, and delivering insightful customer proposals while adhering to tight deadlines. Pricing Analyst will develop compelling Cost/Price proposals for complex and significant corporate proposals; coordinate the proposal development process by collaborating with contracts, procurement, finance, and technical teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. Pricing Analyst will lead discussions on pricing strategy and participate in peer and color reviews to enhance proposal quality. Pricing Analyst will prepare and manage pricing files using Excel, ensuring alignment with company policies and RFP instructions.
Responsibilities
- Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and adept problem-solving ability in a fast-paced, deadline-driven workplace
- Comprehensive knowledge of government proposal development, pricing strategy, and various contract types (FFP, T&M, IDIQ, GSA Schedules, etc.)
- Experience leading the development of complex government Cost/Price volumes
- Solid understanding of FAR/DFAR, CAS, DCMA/DCAA regulations, and fundamental estimating methodologies
- A track record of overseeing bids from draft RFP to successful submission and award, acknowledging some evening and weekend commitment may be necessary
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience developing pricing templates, with an ability to model business scenarios
- Advanced Excel pricing models, formulas, and large data sets analysis
- Ability to interpret government/customer requirements and apply pricing principles effectively
- Customer-focused with a professional demeanor, complemented by excellent communication and leadership skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities with a keen eye for detail; adept at managing multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment
Required Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, accompanied by 5 years of experience in government contracting and pricing analysis
- Extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Experience developing or delivering price strategy presentations or analyses and training to executives and key decision-makers
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Advanced research skills to establish salary databases and competitor pricing benchmarks, and pricing trends
Ideal Experience
- Experience in developing and maintaining highly detailed and configurable pricing sheets able to be manipulated easily to integrate new waves of data to update / modify pricing
- Experience with successfully leading and negotiating with both primes and subcontractors for pricing
- Proven experience working in high pace environment with a successful track record supporting proposals under VA T4NG, GSA MAS99 54151S, GSA OASIS , FAA, and/or STARS III
- Demonstrated experience communicating clearly orally and in writing, and producing high quality written products.
- Expertise in leading and crafting business volumes for RFPs and RFQs.
