Salary: $80,000.00
Lunch: 30-Minute Unpaid Lunch Break (Mandatory)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Controller to lead and oversee the financial operations at BDS Contract Door & Hardware Co. The Finance Controller will be responsible for managing all financial planning, reporting, analysis, and ensuring that our financial processes align with company goals. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities, develop strategic financial plans, and oversee day-to-day accounting operations to ensure continued growth and success.
Accounting Services:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Efficient management of vendor payments and customer invoicing to ensure timely processing and minimize cash flow issues.
- Collections: Systematic management of outstanding receivables, following up on overdue accounts to maintain cash flow.
- Filing Liens on Bonds or Property: Expertise in securing payments through legal liens when necessary, particularly in construction and contracting.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Developing detailed cash flow projections to ensure sufficient liquidity to fund operations and expansion while avoiding cash shortfalls.
- Month-End Close: Timely and accurate closing of monthly financials to provide a clear picture of company performance and ensure proper transaction recording.
- Account Reconciliation: Regular reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts to prevent discrepancies and detect potential fraud.
Financial Planning & Reporting:
- Financial Forecasting & Reporting: Producing forward-looking financial projections that align with growth plans, providing insights into trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Income Statements: Timely preparation of income statements to monitor revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Financial Analysis: In-depth analysis of financial data to assess company performance, identify inefficiencies, and optimize resource allocation.
Compliance & Tax Services:
- Tax Preparation & Auditing: Handling federal, state, and local tax filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and managing internal or external audits.
- Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements and industry regulations and standards.
- Strategic Financial Support:
- Scalability of Services: Developing strategies to scale financial operations in alignment with projected growth, including automation tools and streamlined processes.
- Outsourced CFO Services: Overseeing financial strategy, supporting complex financial decisions, and guiding the company through growth phases.
- Expense Management: Analyzing and managing company expenses to improve cost efficiency while ensuring continued operational success.
Data Security:
- Data Protection: Implementing secure financial systems and protocols to safeguard sensitive financial data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and preventing data breaches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the construction or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
