What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - Day Shift - Monday - Thursday 5 AM to 5 PM position at BDS Tire Recycling, Inc.?
BDS Tire Recycling, Inc. based in Fairfield, Maine has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator (day shift, Mon-Thurs, 5am-5pm) for its 16,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, automation-driven tire processing facility in Fairfield. BDS specializes in scrap tire collection, transportation, storage and recycling for customers throughout New England, and the new plant manufactures tire-derived fuel, crumb rubber, and tire wire. This is an exciting time to join this growing Company!
A variety of tasks will involve:
- Perform basic preventive maintenance adhering to machine specific schedules
- Perform quality control functions by inspecting, identifying, and reporting variance in output product
- Equipment maintenance and logs
- Maintaining a clean work environment
- Maintaining accurate production logs
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude a plus
- Ability to lift 70lbs repeatedly
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, stand, kneel, twist, pull, and work overhead occasionally
- A strong work ethic, reliability and a desire to learn the tire recycling trade is required.
- Forklift experience a plus but not required
