What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reconciliation Accountant position at BE Design Associates, Inc.?
Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with regulatory reporting requirements.
- Perform general ledger accounting and maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct financial accounting activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Assist with cash flow analysis and forecasting.
- Support auditing processes and provide necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- General ledger reconciliations.
- Account reconciliations such as bank, inventory control, clearing, billings etc. Issue receipts to customers on receipt of payments.
- Performing daily financial transactions such as verifying, calculating and posting accounts receivable data.
- Identify areas where controls and procedures can be improved in the preparation of the account reconciliations and propose solutions
- Develop and maintain written operational procedures for all tasks performed and cross train to provide effective support to all team members
- Obtaining / entering appropriate information in the system and manipulating various Excel spreadsheets
- Researches, identifies and provides resolution on complex business issues with minimal supervision
- Assists in cross-training of team processes to ensure appropriate bench strength.
- Knowledge in Point of Sale accounting is a plus....
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proven experience in regulatory reporting, financial statement preparation, and general ledger accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in cash flow analysis and ability to interpret financial data.
- Familiarity with private equity transactions is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
