Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our HOME VISIT team. In this role, you will be responsible for treating speech, language, and communication disorders in patients. You will work closely with SLP and families. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing communication challenges.
Duties
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals.
- Provide therapy sessions focusing on improving communication skills.
- Educate patients and families about speech disorders and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in speech therapy.
- Participate in early intervention programs for children with developmental delays.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
- Home health experience is a plus
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and language.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech therapy practices.
- Strong understanding of early intervention strategies for children.
- Ability to work effectively with pediatric populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate approach towards patients and their families.
