Requirements
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Develop detailed and accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics using CAD software (AutoCAD and SolidWorks) for parts and components
- Modify and update existing drawings as needed to reflect changes in design, materials, or processes
- Collaborate with fabricators and engineers to translate conceptual, hand drawn designs, tribal knowledge and specifications into production-ready technical drawings
- Specify materials, dimensions, and tolerances on drawings to ensure proper part fabrication
- Communicate effectively with manufacturing, production, and quality control teams to ensure drawings are accurate and aligned with production requirements
- Review and verify drawings to ensure they meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and quality specifications
- Assist in identifying and resolving design or production issues related to technical drawings
- Follow BE's standard system for drawing storage and version control to ensure easy access for production teams and stakeholders
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Associate degree or Technical Certification or higher in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
- 2 years' experience in drafting or technical drawing within a manufacturing environment (familiarity with product design and part fabrication processes is a plus)
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing specifically working with sheet metal and tubing
- Ability to create accurate, clear, and complete technical drawings with a high level of precision
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- You are physically fit, energetic and self-motivated
- You have the ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- You have a "safety first" mindset and understand the importance of upholding safety standards
- You are comfortable using computers and can navigate systems efficiently
- You have experience with continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen) and manufacturing concepts
- You are legally able to work in the USA
