What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cafe Attendant position at BE'S Refreshments?
Time for an exciting change? Due to our tremendous growth, BE’S Refreshments is seeking a part-time Café Attendant to join our family in Green Bay, Wisconsin! This position will play an integral role in the successful Café operations, providing exceptional customer service to guests at all times and accurately processing all purchases through the cash register.
Hours: Part-time, year-round, every Monday through Friday, 5:00am until 10:00am
Responsibilities:
- Greet all customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service to guests at all times
- Answer customer questions and report any/all complaints or concerns
- Practice and maintain proper, responsible cash-handling skills at all times
- Account for and enter all items purchased items into the register, including and verifying if any extras/add-on items
- Accurately process all sales transactions and provide correct change
- Solely responsible for ensuring the till contains the accurate amount of money at the end of each shift
- Immediately report any transaction discrepancies and resolve
- Follow strict food safety guidelines and company policies at all times
- Maintain a neat and organized workspace
- Assist in cleaning duties and other café duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be available and able to work the ongoing schedule of every Monday through Friday, 5:00am until 10:00am
- Proven track record of handling cash responsibly
- Must have reliable experience with accurate counting and cash transactions
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Cooking experience and knowledge of food safety standards preferred
- Must be dependable with an excellent attendance record
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, bend, twist, squat, and reeach the entirety of an 8-hour shift
- Ability to lift 25 pounds, up to 50 pounds infrequently
