What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cooler Packing Specialist position at BE'S Refreshments?
Are you looking for an exciting change? BE’S Refreshments, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Cooler Packing Specialist to join our food operations team! This position spends the majority of their 8-hour shift packing items in the cooler following the packing sheets, and scanning and documenting food waste items into our computerized tracking system. Our temperature-controlled coolers range from 35-40°F.
Schedule: Full-Time, Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (or until tasks are completed)
Pay: $16/hour
Job Duties:
- Pack food items according to detailed codes and guidelines
- Seal and label each package appropriately to ensure it reaches the correct destination
- Inspect items for damage before packaging
- Use a computer-based scanning system to track and reduce waste
- Assist in transporting food orders to our warehouse as needed
- Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing and able to work the 8-hour shift in our temperature-controlled coolers, with temperature of 35-40°F
- Strong attention to detail is required, especially when following packing instructions
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new tasks
- Team player - ability to get along and work well with others
- Reliability and a track record of excellent attendance
- Previous packaging/stocking/warehouse experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate!
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend and twist at the waist, and reach above shoulders the entirety of an 8-hour shift
- Must be able to comfortably push, pull, and lift 25-50 pounds frequently
- Must be able and willing to work in cooler conditions (35-40°F)
