Responsibilities And Qualifications
- Driven to be detailed with regards to service standards
- Provide and uphold standards of service by developing, maintaining and establishing wine service to the guests and support the captains during nightly dinner service
- Assist management in the overall operational, administrative and financial management of the wine department
- Successful completion of the Certified Examination from the Court of Master Sommeliers is helpful
- An understanding of wine, beer, and spirits as well as proper wine service and etiquette
- A passion and working knowledge regarding food, techniques, ingredients, seasonality, and various cuisines
- Fostering a positive working environment
- The ability to provide proper training, coaching, and development of both FOH and BOH staff members
- A care for hospitality and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced high volume environment.
- Must be flexible, resourceful, and efficient.
- Hands-on with regards to maintaining service and ensuring all stations are performing from the Hosts, Runners, Servers, etc.
- Effective in communication
- Maintaining a firm grasp on the P&L, budget, and labor control
- Open availability including weekends and holidays
- 3 years in restaurant management
- Food Safety Certification required
