Overview

We’re building a passionate, entrepreneurial team for our brand-new sunless airbrush tanning studio. Join us to create an exceptional custom tanning experience that becomes a staple of our community’s routine for the young and the old. New England is ripe for growth in this booming industry—this is your chance to lead the way!

Open Positions:

• Manager (15–20 hours/week initially, with growth opportunities)
• Assistant Manager (15–20 hours/week initially, with growth opportunities)
• Airbrush Artists (minimum one 4-hour shift/week)
• Marketing & Social Media Specialist (5–10 hours/week, remote-friendly)
• Receptionist (Sat PM, Sun, Mon, and evenings as needed); preferential consideration for those that have computer and / or accounting skills

Flexible Hours:
Clients typically prefer morning or evening appointments, with peak times on Wed and Thurs evenings. We’re looking to offer our services 7 days a week provided we have staff and demand.

Studio Details

• Target Opening Date: Soft launch end of February 2025, just in time for prom and wedding season.
• Location: Newly renovated suite at Salon Aria, with high ceilings, great light - oversized bay windows, wood floors and more - standalone business within bustling salon environment with ample parking.
• Customer Amenities to be provided: warm towels, robes, disposable undergarment options, state-of-the-art spray gun equipment, Spraygon extraction machine, body dryer, finishing powder, and complimentary drinks/snacks.
• Special Mobile Event Opportunities: Offering “Sip and Spray” parties for groups of 4 in NH and MA—perfect for birthdays, bachelorettes, family gatherings, or fun weekends. We will not be offering single client in house services at this time.

Key Responsibilities

Airbrush Artists:

• Deliver flawless sunless airbrush tanning services.
• Consult with clients to understand preferences and skin types.
• Maintain an immaculately clean, professional work area and adhere to health standards.
• Educate clients on pre- and post-tanning care.
• Stay updated on industry trends and innovations.

Managers:

• Handle staffing, scheduling, payroll, inventory, and training.
• Manage customer database and client booking software
• Send weekly payroll to provider
• Plan events, manage website updates, and resolve customer issues.
• Decorate for studio for holidays and keep it "fresh looking"
• In person and online sales and marketing efforts to to local schools, colleges, teams, country clubs, weeding venues, etc.

Receptionists:

• Greeting clients & bringing them up to the 2nd floor from the lobby - salon is suite and chair rentals so no receptionist currently exists
• Email and text blasts to customers
• Special Projects
• Administrative work - ideally accounting in QuickBooks and projects utilizing the computer as well as sundry administrative tasks

General Requirements

• Experience: Preferred but not required as training will be provided. Airbrush artists must be 18 ; receptionists can be 16 .
• Training: Attend a full-day local training session on February 23, 2025 (covered by the studio) and others as required throughout the year.
• Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality and multitasking and teamwork
• Physical Requirements: Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to climb stairs.
• Nudity: Comfortable working with clients of all body types. Disposables and robes provided but not required and female clients may be nude. Male customers must wear boxers and artists can specify if they prefer female clients only
• Flexibility: Open to part-time artists working 4 hours/week or those seeking more hours.

About the Owner

A Boston College graduate, active certified public accountant (CPA), married for 27 years, still working full time in the high-tech sector specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), a former cheer mom (and I don’t do hair or make up well), animal lover, and horse enthusiast who values fun, creative people.

The owner’s goal is to build a self-sufficient team to manage operations while providing support, training, and funding to ensure their success.
