Job Title: Clinical Director
Location: Louisville Center for Eating Disorders (LCED), in person Louisville KY
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Director to join our team at LCED, the state's only PHP and IOP for eating disorders. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of clinical management experience, preferably in higher levels of care and with extensive knowledge of eating disorders. However, strong management and clinical director experience with a motivated desire to learn eating disorder pathology will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee admissions, case assignments, and ensure effective communication within the team. Provide regular supervision and attend team and executive meetings.
- Conduct reviews and manage performance evaluations.
- Handle daily correspondence and address urgent matters as needed.
- Maintain quality, consistency and compliance of programming.
- Manage HR tasks and maintain EHR documentation.
- Lead hiring, training, and crisis management efforts.
- Supervise Master level clinicians to build evidence-based therapy interventions.
- Facilitate clinical groups and provide individual therapy sessions as needed.
- Participate in peer-to-peer reviews with insurance companies to ensure appropriate coverage for patient care. Advocate for patient coverage by effectively communicating clinical needs and treatment plans to insurance representatives.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in clinical management.
- Strongly prefer candidates with experience in higher levels of care and extensive knowledge of eating disorders.
- Ability to provide affirming care and knowledge of health systems and best therapy practices for eating disorders.
- Experience in supervising therapists, ensuring high-quality group therapy content, and evidence-based practices.
- Ability to spot-check clinical work, provide feedback, and train new staff.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams for case conferences and administrative meetings.
- Manage direct reports from master level clinicians, psychologists, dietetics, and psychiatric medication management.
- Provide ongoing training and development for clinical staff.
- Handle performance improvement plans and terminations as needed.
- Manage crises after hours, with overtime compensation for inconvenience.
