Be Well Primary Care is currently looking to fill a Full-Time RN/IV Therapy Specialist position in our Denton location. This position will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm A valid State-issued RN license is required.
Job Summary:
The IV Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Nutritional Therapy plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients seeking intravenous (IV) nutritional therapy within a primary care office setting. The Registered Nurse (RN) within this position will utilize the IV nutrition infusion nursing process/skills to deliver intravenous vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, B12, Glutathione and Vitamin C. IV vitamin therapy is administered to patients by appointment. This position requires a skilled RN with a strong background in infusion therapy, excellent patient care skills, and a passion for promoting health and wellness through nutrition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment and Evaluation:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' health status, medical history, and nutritional needs prior to IV infusion therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific nutritional requirements and health goals.
- Educate patients on the benefits, risks, and expected outcomes of IV nutritional therapy.
- IV Infusion Administration:
- Prepare and administer IV infusions accurately and safely, adhering to established protocols, standards, and guidelines.
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy, assessing vital signs, observing for adverse reactions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Provide appropriate interventions in response to any complications or adverse reactions during infusion therapy.
- Documentation and Charting:
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic medical records (EMR) utilizing eClinical Works (preferred) documenting patients' assessments, treatments, and responses to therapy.
- Complete all required documentation in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and office policies.
- Patient Education and Support:
- Educate patients on proper nutrition, hydration, and lifestyle factors that contribute to overall health and well-being.
- Provide guidance on dietary choices, supplementation, and other strategies to support patients' nutritional goals outside of IV therapy sessions.
- Address patients' questions, concerns, and informational needs regarding IV infusion therapy and nutritional supplementation.
- Collaborative Care:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and any necessary adjustments to care.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Adhere to established quality assurance measures and infection control practices to maintain a safe and clean environment for infusion therapy.
- Stay informed about current standards of practice, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to IV infusion therapy and nutritional supplementation.
- Participate in ongoing training, education, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in infusion therapy and nutritional care.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license (Required)
- Current certification in BLS- Basic Life Support (Required)
- Minimum of [1 year] of experience in infusion therapy, with specific experience in administering IV nutritional therapy preferred. (Required)
- Minimum of [1 year] of experience in a Primary Care Setting (Required)
- Minimum of [1 year] of experience in eClinical Works (Preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency in IV catheter insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced primary care environment.

Be Well Primary Care is currently looking to fill a full-time position in our Denton location. Regular clinic hours are Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the practice and the qualifications of the individual hired.
