Play a critical role in providing high-quality travel consultation services tailored to meet the diverse needs of clients with disabilities. This role requires training as a travel professional and specializing in traveling with disabilities with an unwavering commitment to customer service excellence. The ideal candidate will be trained in accessible travel planning with an empathetic approach to client support, ensuring that each trip is thoughtfully crafted to enhance the client’s experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Consultation and Needs Assessment:
    • Conduct comprehensive consultations with clients to assess their unique accessibility requirements, travel goals, and preferences
    • Develop a deep understanding of each client’s specific needs, including mobility, sensory, cognitive, and other disabilities, to create fully customized travel plans
  • Customized Itinerary Development:
    • Design and present tailored travel itineraries, ensuring all accommodations, transportation, and activities adhere to accessibility standards and meet client expectations
    • Source and recommend destinations, lodging, and transportation options that align with both accessibility standards and individual client needs
  • Vendor Coordination and Relationship Management:
    • Liaise with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other service providers to secure accessible accommodations and coordinate necessary arrangements
    • Establish and cultivate relationships with suppliers who demonstrate a commitment to accessibility, ensuring reliability and quality in the services provided
  • Ongoing Client Support and Service:
    • Serve as the primary contact for clients before, during, and after their travel, providing consistent, responsive support to address any accessibility concerns
    • Offer guidance, pre-travel preparation, and additional resources to facilitate a smooth and comfortable travel experience for clients
  • Industry Knowledge and Compliance:
    • Stay current with accessible travel industry trends, standards, and legislation to ensure compliance and excellence in service
    • Provide feedback to internal teams on client experiences and industry best practices, contributing to continuous improvement in accessibility offerings
Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Accessibility Standards: Strong understanding of accessibility requirements in travel, including accommodations, transportation, and activity planning
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage with clients in a compassionate, professional manner to fully understand and support their unique needs
  • High Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously plan and coordinate all aspects of a trip to ensure a seamless, accessible experience
  • Empathy and Patience: A client-centered approach, with a strong commitment to delivering solutions that meet diverse accessibility needs
