Beach Babies is seeking a Lead Teacher as well as an assistant teacher for our Infant and Toddler classrooms. These candidates: Will work closely with a co-teacher to design and maintain a structured, nurturing, learning and comfortable environment for the children in their care. Will follow our current curriculum while working with our team to add new ideas. Must be confident that they can stay in control of a group of 8 toddlers with ease and enjoyment. Absolutely must be a team player and be able to work with all co-teachers professionally, with respect and with a shared goal. Must be able to speak to parents on a professional level as they are our clients, with respect, kindness and consideration. At Beach Babies, we all get our hands dirty! All teachers work with the children, plan for their activities, clean their classrooms, make sure playgrounds and classrooms are kept clean, safe, and comfortable for all of the children. Beach Babies opened its doors in August 2006 as a family-owned and operated learning center. Designed by Allison McCarthy and her husband Mark, Beach Babies was created as a place for children to be able to play and grow as individuals. Our incredibly loving and nurturing team of teachers are committed to our philosophy that children deserve to feel loved, supported, safe, and confident while being appreciated for who they are as individuals. Our parents and children are considered our family. Allison works on site every day with the team making sure that each child goes home happy, healthy, and a little dirty. Our curriculum includes social and emotional, physical, language, early literacy, early mathematics, science, technology, creative expression, health and safety, and social studies. We are enthusiastic as we begin to introduce our farm-to-table program which brings our children outside working in our vegetable garden and taking care of our small farm animals.
