We are seeking a Certified Automotive Technician with strong diagnostic and repair skills to join our service department. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of vehicles and be able to perform a wide range of automotive services.
Experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, alignment, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Perform vehicle inspections
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
Automotive Technician / Mechanic Qualifications
- Previous Automotive repair and maintenance experience required (5 years)
- Must have a set of tools
- Ford certifications preferred, ASE or equivalent certifications accepted
- Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
