We are known for our professionalism, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Currently, we are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join our team.


Position Overview:
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join our team in Long Beach, CA. This role will support various departments with a focus on legal compliance within property management. You will collaborate with executive leadership and legal team by performing a variety of administrative and clerical duties. If you have 3-5 years of experience in the field and have knowledge in real estate or housing compliance, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities, we'd love to hear from you!

 

Position Type: Full-Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Locations: Long Beach, CA

Pay Rate: $69,000.00 to $80,000.00 annually


Key Responsibilities:

  • Legal Document Coordination: Oversee the preparation and facilitation of legal documents (such as lease agreements, contracts, amendments, and notices) in collaboration with attorneys.
  • File and Contract Management: Manage centralized case files, track critical dates, renewals, and key contractual deadlines.
  • Compliance Support: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations in property management, and monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Research: Stay updated on landlord-tenant laws, zoning ordinances, and real estate regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and work with legal teams to develop strategies for risk mitigation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized legal files, databases, and document retention systems to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the point of contact between legal, internal teams, external partners, vendors, and tenants, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Special Projects: Support additional tasks and projects to contribute to the company’s objectives.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in legal studies, compliance, real estate, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in legal or compliance roles, preferably within property management, real estate, or corporate law.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of property management legal compliance and real estate law is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to property locations as needed. Standard business hours, with flexibility based on departmental requirements.
