Responsibilities
Overseeing banquet event setup and ensuring all details are in line with client requirements
Coordinating with the kitchen staff and chefs to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages
Ensuring that the presentation of food and beverages meet the hotel’s standards
Directing banquet staff throughout the event, ensuring they provide excellent customer service
Addressing and resolving any issues or complaints from guests in a professional and timely manner
Monitoring and managing inventory of supplies and equipment
Communicating with clients before, during and after the event to ensure satisfaction and to build relationships for future bookings
Providing training and guidance to banquet staff as needed
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event evaluations
Requirements
Proven work experience in banquet or catering management
Knowledge of various types of banquet setups and service styles
Outstanding leadership, organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication skills to effectively deal with clients and staff
Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Availability to work during an event, to include weekends and evenings
