What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dockhand position at Beach Island Marina Investment Partners?
Dockhands are the building blocks of our operation. The work of a dockhand is vital to the success of the marina and the property as a whole. Dockhands must take pride in their work, have a can-do attitude, and have the personal integrity to do their tasks completely and correctly.
Dockhands are responsible for the following:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the property and docks, including loose and bagged trash
Maintaining the cleanliness of employee and guest facing work areas
Maintaining cleanliness of rental fleet
Maintaining quality of marina and rental equipment
Being knowledgeable and able to communicate water laws and rental safety guidelines
Assisting guests and tenants with general needs
Assisting guests and tenants with docking, fueling, and pump-out of their vessels
Informing guests and tenants of marina and property services and offerings
Observing the state of the docks including loose boats and ropes
Observing safety and facility needs, such as fire extinguishers and water leaks
Communicate observations and concerns regarding the state of the property and equipment to management.
Other tasks as necessary
