Beach Lake Sprinkler Fire Protection Services, a subsidiary of Davis-Ulmer Sprinkler Company, was founded in 1992 and is a well-rounded fire protection company with two offices: Beach Lake, PA and Brooksville, FL. We excel in new construction, renovation, retrofit, and service work for warehouse, distribution, pharmaceutical, hospital, nursing home, industrial, residential and retail markets.
- Design and layout fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings using AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to determine the specific fire protection needs of a building or facility.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction staff to integrate fire protection systems into the overall building design.
- Perform hydraulic calculations to ensure the fire sprinkler system functions effectively.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation for submission to clients and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national fire safety codes and standards, such as NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards.
- Provide technical support and expertise during the installation and commissioning phases.
- Maintain project timelines and budgets, ensuring high-quality and efficient project delivery.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations regarding fire protection and sprinkler systems.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, fire protection technology, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in fire protection design or a related industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software is required.
- Strong knowledge of fire codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in fire sprinkler design or related field is preferred.
- NICET certification in Fire Protection Engineering Technology (or working towards certification) is an advantage.
