Title:Common Area Cleaner
Reports to: Association Manager, Maintenance Supervisor
Status:Full Time, Non-Exempt
Please note: 40 hours a week - Weekends required. Hours are 7:00-5:30. Some holidays will be required
Duties:
- Maintain common areas to ensure cleanliness and a safe environment for employees and owners/guests on-site.
- Wipe railings on each floor
- Mop spills from walkways, stairwell, and pool deck (if applicable)
- Clean Garbage room: sanitize trash room, sanitize trash bins, walls, chute
- Clean stainless steel on elevators, Clean debris from elevator tracks
- Mop elevator floors, dry mop for moisture and residue
- Pick up loose trash from the grounds
- Empty all trash cans, all ashtrays and butt cans
- Clean and sanitize all tables and chairs in common areas
- Sanitize bathrooms
- Keep paper towels and toilet tissue filled
- Clean picnic area and BBQ grills (if applicable)
- Pick up pet waste in common areas. Report violators to management
- Clean cob webs and dryer lint on entire building
- Change light bulbs as needed
- Clean all common area windows and doors
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of grounds upkeep to include keeping areas tidy, cleaning up and maintaining a safe environment.
- Positive communication skills to communicate with other staff, owners, vendors, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent time management skills, and ability to stay on task and reach goals with little to no supervision.
Minimum Education/Experience
- 1-2 years of grounds maintenance/common area cleaning experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
