Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operator to join our team in a fast-paced pole mill production environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety standards and experience in operating machinery related to wood processing. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards while adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor pole mill processing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Keep work areas and equipment according to OSHA and company guidelines.
- Operated machinery to produce wood products accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols to ensure product integrity.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in wood utility pole production or processing is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with OSHA, Hazwoper safety regulations.
- Ability to operate machinery safely (certification preferred).
- Knowledge of safety practices within a wood processing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.32 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
