Role Summary: Our Seasonal Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by greeting and welcoming guests in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner. This role involves selling admissions, food, beverages, merchandise, and other park-related items while adhering to company guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing a welcoming experience as they enter the park.
- Sell admission tickets, food, beverages, and park-related merchandise, ensuring accurate transactions and efficient service.
- Provide guests with general park information, direct them to various locations within the park, and inform them of park policies.
- Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, displayed, and replenished to enhance guest experience.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in workstations and surrounding spaces during and after shifts.
- Place wristbands on guests, check ice chests, and perform bag checks when required.
- Participate in all required park-wide and departmental orientations, trainings, and meetings.
- Report to leads, supervisors, or managers as needed for guidance and direction.
- Ensure all merchandise is handled and secured in accordance with park policies.
- Maintain honesty, reliability, and professionalism in all interactions with guests and team members.
- Adhere to all park policies, rules, and safety guidelines.
- Assist with stocking shelves and organizing inventory as needed.
- Prepare workstations before shifts, ensuring all required supplies and merchandise are available and ready for guest use.
- Be proactive in offering additional products or services to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Complete other duties as assigned by leads, supervisors, and managers.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and have a friendly, outgoing personality.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Willingness to work long summer hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Must pass a basic math/Beach Waterpark cashiering test.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash and transactions accurately.
- Ability to assist in managing inventory, stocking shelves, and ensuring merchandise is displayed properly.
- Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, with or without movement.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, bend, push, and reach.
- Must be able to handle and manipulate objects, tools, or controls, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments with exposure to sun, rain, and fluctuating temperatures.
