What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Operations Aquatics Lead position at Beach Waterpark?
Role Summary: Lead lifeguards are responsible for assigning position and running rotation for a designated number of guards each shift.
Duties:
- Must be willing to accept the most effective role, as determined by management.
- Provides guests with exceptional service.
- Delegates jobs to lifeguards.
- Coordinates lifeguard lunches and breaks.
- Ensures guest safety.
- Maintains high standards of safety.
- Maintains skills at a rescue-ready level at all times.
- Assists with various tasks including grounds, moving heavy objects, line control and taking out trash.
- Cleans, sweeps and maintains tubes.
- Must pass random audits of skill levels and attentiveness.
Qualifications:
Ø Must be at least 16 years old. (Dependent upon park location.)
Ø Must be friendly and outgoing with a high customer service acumen.
Ø Required to maintain established performance levels.
Ø Must successfully complete a swim-test and lifeguard certification course.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking to and from your entire assigned area, climbing ladders and stairs when necessary.
- Standing with or without movement for extended periods of time.
- Exposure to multiple, high-stress situations at any given time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time while maintaining a sense of high alertness.
- Standing in natural, untreated river water or other water for extended periods of time.
- Must have 20/20 vision with or without corrective lenses.
- Exposure to sun and heat for extended periods of time.
- Bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects.
- Must be able to push up to 50lbs and lift up to 20lbs.
- Must frequently use hands/fingers to handle tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
