What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Team Member - Variable Shifts position at Beachmere Inn?
- Full Time, Year Round opening for a Flexible Shift Maintenance Person – This is an Immediate Opening for this family run business
- This position would have you working Full Time in our hands on Maintenance Department. During the quieter months job tasks will vary depending on the winter time renovation projects. During the season, your work week would include weekends and also some holidays when we are open to the public ( we close for 6 weeks in Jan to Mid Feb for preventative maintenance work, projects and repairs). We are looking for a well rounded person who is self directed as you could be working alone completing certain tasks.
During the the season, you will be answering room maintenance calls, assisting the Front Desk at times procuring items for guest requests, helping in setting up and breaking down function spaces, delivering linen supplies to linen closets, working on clearing snow, painting, trash and recyclables removal, etc. – all this in addition to working on maintenance projects. No day is ever the same in the hospitality industry.
Ideally you have basic experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting but are willing to learn and pitch in wherever needed. It is a busy environment, and you will get your steps in as you walk the property, go up and down stairs and assist where needed.- You must also enjoy the ocean and sea breezes, as it’s seen from every room on property.
