You’ll play a key role in maintaining the flow of service and ensuring every guest’s experience exceeds their expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expediting: Coordinate the timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to the dining room. Ensure the quality, accuracy, and presentation of all dishes before they leave the kitchen.
- Food Running: Deliver food orders to tables promptly, while ensuring an organized flow of service.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the kitchen and the front-of-house team to ensure all orders are prioritized and completed efficiently.
- Customer Service: Assist in greeting and assisting guests as needed, ensuring they are satisfied with their meals and service.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Help maintain a clean and organized work area, including the expediting station, food runners' stations, and dining areas.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with kitchen staff, servers, and bartenders to ensure seamless service throughout each shift.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fast-paced food environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Ability to remain calm and organized during busy periods.
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Fast-paced walking and moving through tight spaces between kitchen and dining areas.
- Ability to work in a noisy, bustling environment.
