Guest Services Representative
Join our team and be a part of the summer long beach party! Beachwalk Resort in Michigan City, Indiana is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to add to our dynamic guest services team!
General Summary
As the front line of our Resort, you are required to provide the highest quality of hospitality to our guests, our homeowners and to all that are associated with Beachwalk Resort. Have great customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, resourceful problem solving capabilities and solid written and verbal communication skills.
This representative will tend to guest or homeowner questions, needs and complaints, create and manage reservations, communicate on the telephone and via email and ensure our welcome center is operational and professionally maintained. From arrival to departure and all communication in between, our guest services representative is expected to be sociable, knowledgeable and efficient.
Main Duties Include:
- Creating and managing all rental reservations.
- Assisting guests, homeowners and all others with questions, concerns and complaints.
- Responding to inquiry phone calls and emails.
- Stocking and refreshing our gift shop and complimentary beverages.
- Welcoming and checking in guests with a friendly attitude and smile.
- Ensuring our Welcome Center is clean and well maintained, including upkeep in the bathroom and check in areas.
- Provide accurate, comprehensive information and recommendations about our rentals, products and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned including rental tours, concierge service, special guest requests, etc.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
- Opening our Welcome Center, including putting out refreshments, un-forwarding the phones, ensuring check in folders are ready for the day, making sure the gift shop is fully stocked and setting up our check in pods.
- Closing our Welcome Center, including organizing check in pods, forwarding the phones, ensuring everything is stocked and cleaned for the next shift and communicating important details into our end of Day.
Required Attributes:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer, written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus two years of customer service experience.
- Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
- Be able to multitask and stay organized in a fast paced environment.
- Reliable transportation, to and from work.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
