Beacon Behavioral LLC is looking for an Intake Coordinator, LPN, or Master level Therapist to join our team. We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Central Intake Coordinators to support our Inpatient Hospitals all located in Louisiana.
Beacon Behavioral LLC, formerly known as Synergy, was first established in 1998 as a free-standing Community Mental Health Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. What does the Central Intake Coordinator, LPN, or Master Therapist do? (including but not limited to)
As a Central Intake Coordinator, you will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to gather information from patients and their families, as well as collaborate with our clinical team to ensure that patients receive the care they need. Your strong attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in managing the intake process and maintaining accurate records. As a member of our central intake team, you will be responsible for managing the intake process for new patients, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and entered accurately into our system for appropriate and timely admission to our behavioral health facility. Central Intakes team works very closely with our clinical team to ensure that patients receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires knowledge of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Manage the intake process for new patients, including collecting and entering all necessary information into our system
- Communicate with patients and their families to gather additional information as needed
- Collaborate with our clinical team to ensure that patients receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information and interactions
- Establishes vision and identities goals and priorities for management staff. Identifies
- Other duties as requested or assigned.
The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
- LPN with a minimum of 2 years inpatient behavioral health setting and/or 2 years of master's level work in an Inpatient psychiatric facility
- 2 years of experience in healthcare administration or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a centralized intake, admissions or referral role
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as mentally ill
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families throughout the intake process
