Beacon Behavioral Partners is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Time Counselor II to join our team that will support The Genesis Group in Baton Rouge. As a Counselor II, you will be responsible for providing professional counseling services to individuals, couples, and families. Your main goal will be to help clients overcome emotional and mental health issues and improve their overall well-being.

What does the Counselor II do? (including but not limited to)
As a Counselor II, you will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clients and help them overcome emotional and mental health issues. You will also use your knowledge of counseling techniques and treatment plans to develop personalized plans for each client. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential in collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Additionally, your experience in private practice and working with diverse populations will be beneficial in providing high-quality counseling services. Finally, your proficiency in electronic health records will help you maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
Responsibilities

- Conducting individual, couples, and family counseling sessions
- Developing and implementing treatment plans based on clients' needs
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Staying up to date with the latest research and techniques in counseling
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling
- Valid state license to practice counseling
- Proven experience as a Counselor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands:
This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
