Beacon Behavioral Partners is looking for a Medical Office Receptionist to join our team! This full-time position is in Madison, Mississippi and will support The Right Track Medical Group.

What does the Medical Office Receptionist do? (including but not limited to)
Your main responsibility involves responding to inquiries, managing correspondence, and performing various clerical and administrative tasks. You are also tasked with welcoming all visitors to the facility, ensuring that confidentiality is upheld, and a welcoming environment is fostered in the reception area. Additionally, you will support the Business/Office Manager with assigned projects.
Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Answer phones, route calls and take messages. Ensure phones are answered by 3rd ring.
- Greeting visitors and patients.
- Maintain sign-in log and follow HIPAA / Confidentiality procedures.
- Sign for all incoming express packages.
- Maintain reception and administrative areas of the building and common areas to ensure a tidy appearance.
- Distribute incoming faxes and mail.
- Copy and distribute information for staff.
- Assist staff by directing patients and passing information onto staff.
- Maintain office supply inventory and ensure supplies are ordered
- Assist with letters, appointments, phone calls as directed
- Maintain copy supplies – liaison with copy repair/maintenance.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
- Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient payments.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED.
- One-year front desk doctor office experience.
Physical Demands:
This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
