The Maples is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Contract Family Nurse Practitioner to support our Fort Worth, Texas location. The FNP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive medical care, medication management, and patient education for individuals in a residential program.

What does the Contract Family Nurse Practitioner do? (including but not limited to)
The Family Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for diagnosing and treating health conditions, as well as promoting good health practices. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you’ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. The job description of a Family Nurse Practitioner includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)
  • Conduct medical evaluations for patients entering treatment, including physical exams and history-taking.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and case managers to develop integrated treatment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
  • Document all patient interactions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system accurately and timely.
  • Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities to include symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in the state of Texas (Required)
  • Two years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner. (Required)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • National Nurse Practitioner certification in area of specialty.
Physical Demands:
This job requires employees to have a full range of physical capabilities, including the ability to handle and lift patients, demonstrate manual and finger dexterity, and maintain good eye-hand coordination. Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift and carry items up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing within the normal range are also required.
