Beacon Building Products CDL A Local Delivery Driver/Boom Job Summary
Beacon Building Products is seeking a qualified CDL A Local Delivery Driver/Boom to deliver building materials safely and efficiently to our customers in the Seattle, WA area.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety is always the top priority and wear appropriate PPE
- Pre-inspect truck, load with materials, and verify load for accuracy
- Set up job perimeters, inspect site to ensure a safe environment to unload
- Communicate regularly with dispatcher to ensure timely product delivery at job site
- Communicate potential on-site hazards to branch management
- Keep logbook up-to-date at all times
- Adhere to and understand safety policies and regulations
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have CDL A license in good standing
- Minimum of 1 year of prior and verifiable experience driving a commercial motor vehicle
- Additional preferred experience: handling building materials, forklift experience, certification in Articulating Boom Crane (ABC) or Articulating Boom Loader (ABL)
Benefits and Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $39-$42
- Weekly Average Pay: $1,560 - $1,680
- Annual Average Pay: $81,120 - $87,360
- Paid overtime at time and a half
- Breakdown pay: Your hourly rate if on the road and towed
- Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 (paid out - half at 30 days and half at 60 days)
Work Schedule and Environment
- Home time: Home daily
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, no nights or weekends
- Shift: Day shift with start time of 6am depending on contract needs
- Route: Deliveries within 27 miles of Seattle, WA
Equipment and Training
- Boom, Flatbed with Moffett; Day Cab with 45 ft trailer
- Automatic transmission
- Governed at 67 MPH
- GPS
- Electronic logbook
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. as necessary
- No convictions or any offenses involving DUI, DWI, careless or reckless driving, or suspensions / revocations within the past 5 years
- No more than 1 moving violations within the past 36 months
- No more than 1 preventable accidents in the last 36 months
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
