Beacon Building Products is hiring a CDL A or B Local Conveyor and Boom Truck Driver in Savannah, GA .The driver will deliver building materials to our customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Compensation
- Competitive hourly wages with a minimum of 40 hours a week
- Paid overtime at time and a half
- Breakdown Pay : Your hourly rate if on the road and towed
- Bonuses :
5,000 sign-on bonus (25% at 45 days and 75% at 6 months)

Driver must always put safety first and always wear appropriate PPEPre-inspect truck, load with materials and verify load for accuracySet up job perimeters, inspect site to ensure a safe environment to unloadCommunicate regularly with dispatcher to ensure timely product delivery at job siteCommunicate potential on-site hazards to branch managementKeep logbook up-to-date at all timesAdhere to and understand safety policies and regulationsPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have CDL A or B licensein good standingMinimum of 1 year of prior and verifiable experience driving a commercial motor vehicleAdditional highly preferred experience :
Handling building materials
Forklift experienceHazmat Endorsement a plusNCCCO (BOOM) required for BoomMust be able to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day as we will unload the materials by hand and via heavy equipmentNo convictions or any offenses involving DUI, DWI, careless or reckless driving, or suspensions / revocations within the past 5 yearsNo more than 1 moving violations within the past 36 monthsNo more than 1preventable accidents in the last 36 monthsMust meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulationsMust be able to pass a required DOT physical and drug screenMust be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditionsShould prefer working in a team environment but be comfortable working on independent tasksHiring Radius : Drivers must live within 40 miles of West Savannah, GA or be willing to relocate for this positionBeacon Building Products is an equal opportunity employer.
