Admissions Assistant
Beacon College is the South’s only college exclusively for students with specific learning differences or ADHD and is located in Leesburg, Florida – approximately one-hour northwest of sunny Orlando, Florida.
The Office of Enrollment Management has an immediate opening for the position of Admissions Assistant. This full-time, 12-month position will support central processing operations with clerical, data entry, and phone responsibilities, along with prospective student and applicant processing. More so, this position will support the organizational operations of the department, through active collaboration with Admissions Counselors, Directors, and Senior Administration. The ideal candidate would have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, and have the flexibility to support the efforts in enrolling the College.
Essential Job Functions:
- Process student application information including applications, supporting documents, and other related forms.
- Collaborates with Admissions Counselors to ensure they receive all admission materials, prospective student data, and other related information in order to achieve excellent customer service.
- Complete expense reports for the admissions team including tracking and coding expenditures.
- Monitors prospective and admission mailings including inquiry packets, admission decision letters, and other correspondence from the office.
- Supports efforts for campus tours including outreach, set-up, data processing, and other related tasks.
- Presents information about the College through telephone inquiries
- Assist in the monitoring of inventory including brochures and other enrollment marketing materials.
- Receive and process incoming mail and electronic correspondence
- Assist in the implementation of special events including coordination with other departments and vendors
- Other Duties as Assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3 years working with the public, providing excellent customer service.
- Preferred qualification to candidates with experience working in higher education, education, or for those who worked with individuals with learning differences in a school environment.
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Videoconferencing Platforms
