Overview :
We are seeking a driven and experienced Seafood Account Manager to develop new business and nurture existing relationships with seafood distributors, retailers, and wholesalers across the United States. This role focuses on expanding our market presence and driving sales growth of our comprehensive seafood product line. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of the seafood industry, particularly within the distribution and wholesale channels, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, a proven sales track record, and a passion for career growth.
Key Responsibilities :
- National Account Management : Manage and grow existing relationships with key national and regional seafood distributors and wholesalers.
- New Business Development : Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with potential distributors and wholesalers, expanding our market reach and penetration .
- Product Expertise & Presentation : Present our seafood product line to distributor and wholesaler clients, highlighting features, benefits, value propositions, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. Tailor presentations to the specific needs and business models of distributors and wholesalers.
- Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at distributor and wholesaler accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their evolving needs and market dynamics.
- Sales Strategy & Planning : Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the distributor and wholesale channel, including target account identification, market analysis, and sales projections.
- Collaboration & Coordination : Collaborate with internal departments (operations, logistics, marketing, etc.) to ensure seamless customer service, order fulfillment, marketing support, and promotional programs for distributor and wholesale partners.
- Market Analysis : Proactively identify and analyze market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and customer needs within the distribution and wholesale landscape to identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Sales Target Achievement : Achieve and exceed established sales quotas and targets, contributing to overall revenue growth within the distributor / wholesale channel.
- Reporting & Analysis : Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, including sales activity, market insights, customer feedback, and potential growth areas within the distribution and wholesale segment.
- Trade Show & Industry Event Participation : Represent the company professionally and ethically at industry events and trade shows, building brand awareness and fostering positive relationships within the distribution and wholesale community.
- Contract Negotiation & Management : Negotiate pricing agreements, contracts, and other business terms with distributors and wholesalers.
- Forecasting & Inventory Management : Collaborate with internal teams on sales forecasting and inventory planning to ensure product availability and timely delivery to distributor and wholesale partners.
