BACKGROUND: Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION: The Lead Job Coach provides direct oversight and guidance to a team of Job Coaches and supports daily operations to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. This position is responsible for overseeing a team of Job Coaches and clients performing work for one or more Beacon Group Supported Employment initiatives. The Lead collaborates closely with the Business team and the Wolves team to ensure successful program outcomes and operational efficiency. While the Lead may occasionally perform individual coaching tasks, the majority of the role focuses on leadership, coordination, and resource management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain a culture of client-centered service delivery to support each client to reach their full vocational potential while meeting customer and contract requirements.
- Mentor the Job Coaches to adhere to Beacon Group's philosophy of using patience and sensitivity when working with clients, utilizing a positive approach in any situation.
- Work with Department Supervisor to coordinate site task priorities with site management, scheduling of work and/or assignment of new task. Ensure worksites are scheduled to be fully staffed by the appropriate number of staff and clients each day.
- Conduct initial and annual performance evaluations for all Job Coach employees.
- Submit requisition forms to Human Resources for any vacant Job Coach positions.
- Recruit, Interview, Hire, and On-board new Job Coaches.
- Review and/or approve staff and client documentation, such as timecards, payroll data, monthly / quarterly progress reports, incident reports, individuals with disabilities information in the electronic health record system (CMS), including reviews of timesheet entries and Behavioral Health case notes (comparison with MITC in/out times for accuracy).
- Ensure that the Job Coaches comply with all supervision, paperwork, documentation, coaching, safety, and work performance standards.
- Review and approve staff time-off requests while maintaining adequate coverage.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three years of experience working with adults with disabilities.
- Minimum of one-year supervisory experience.
- Minimum of one-year of experience in the field of work.
- Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing to provide services to Behavioral Health clients referred by Arizona Complete Care Plans.
- Specialized skills and certificates such as, but not limited to: Arborist, Chemical Spraying, Landscaping Design, and warehousing such as inventory and process management.
- Increased technical skills related to field of work.
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- Successfully pass the drug test and background check.
- Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or able to obtain and maintain certification.
- Fingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card.
- Provide proof of good driving (39-Month uncertified MVR from AZ MVD Now https://azmvdnow.gov)
- Have a valid Arizona Driver's License and pass the Beacon driving test.
- Article IX and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a GSA clearance.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
