Summary
Reports to the Manager. Performs a variety of preventive maintenance duties, repairs, alterations and modifications of buildings, equipment and systems in assigned area.MISSION, VALUES and SERVICE GOALS

Custodial Moving
- Coordinates and carryout moving projects in hospital etc.
- Cleans maintenance projects.
Periodic Maintenance
- PM's will be done in timely fashion, and in accordance with printed task and procedure codes.
Work Orders
- Performs all assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Makes sure that all work orders are completed within 3 days of assignment. At the discretion of Manager, the 3 day limit may be waived due to the nature of some assignments. All completed work orders should be submitted no later 1 working day after completion, making sure all information is as accurate as possible.
- Informs customers of status of all work requests delayed due to parts on order.
Grounds Care
- Assist in grounds care for a safer and more attractive hospital environment.
- Outside light maintenance and replacement.
- Assists in snow removal for hospital properties.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the department
- Completes other job-related duties and projects as assigned.
- Removes department trash and recycling as needed throughout all spaces.
- Transports items needed for the operation of the department to offsite locations.
Furniture
- Assembly, disassembly and repair of hospital furniture.
- Hang, move, and repair wall mounted items for hospital.

Associate complies with the following organizational requirements:
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established timeframes.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established timeframes.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime in addition to working additional or other shifts and schedules when required.

- The knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated below are acquired through the successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalentis preferred.Must be a minimum of 17 years of age. Mechanical background including machines, mechanical equipment and lawn care is preferred. Valid State issued Driver's License is required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and outside vendors "parts and supply."
- Must have organizational skills necessary to coordinate moving projects and lead process.
Working Conditions
- Works is performed both inside and outside of hospital and satellite facilities.
Physical Demands
- Requires the physical ability and stamina (i.e., to lift up to 50 pounds, work on ladders, walk, stand for prolonged periods of time, etc.) to perform the essential duties of the position.
