Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Manager – Patient Accounts to oversee and manage the daily operational activities related to insurance billing and follow-up, cash posting, and self-pay collections. This pivotal role entails organizing, planning, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining accountability for patient and insurance receivables. You will also manage vendor relationships to foster high-performing partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize, plan, and manage daily operational activities of assigned areas, including insurance billing, cash posting, and self-pay collections.
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures. Maintain responsibility for the overall financial health of patient and insurance receivables, including dollars and days outstanding.
- Foster and manage vendor relationships to optimize performance and collaboration.
- Lead and mentor team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Healthcare or Business-related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of management experience is required.
- At least 5 years of demonstrated success in Revenue Cycle operations may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Thorough understanding of consumer credit laws, Medicare/Medicaid, and commercial payer practices.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding as related to patient account billing and automated information systems.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Advanced computer skills, specifically in Microsoft 365 and data analytics (including Excel or other software applications).
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based role with the physical stamina required to perform essential functions.
