Accounts Receivable Specialist

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a non-profit organization in Linthicum, Maryland to bring an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to their team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling cash receipts, managing accounts receivable transactions, and supporting various finance operations including our annual meeting and audit preparations. Key Responsibilities:

• Import, verify, and post bank lockbox receipts into the accounting software.

• Prepare and process in-house check deposits and ensure timely dissemination of remittance data.

• Reconcile monthly cash receipts and accounts receivable accounts, resolving discrepancies.

• Support non-Finance staff with cash receipt procedures and respond to internal inquiries.

• Monitor AR balances, prepare aging reports, and follow up on outstanding payments.

• Assist in audit preparations and annual meeting finance logistics.

• Handle credit card refunds, chargebacks, and ensure proper revenue coding.

• Prepare monthly credit card fee analysis and related journal entries.
