The New York City Office of AmLaw 100 Firm is looking for an Assistant Managing Clerk to provide docketing and calendaring services as well as support attorneys and staff involved in litigation matters. This is a great opportunity to provide a significant advantage in streamlining legal operations and workflow, improving effeciency and assist attorneys with procedural matters, research, managing litigation dockets and ensuring deadlines are met.
JOB DESCRIPTION / JOB DUTIES :
- Review calendar reports and collaborate on filing deadlines and handle filings
- Enter all incoming court papers into docketing database
- Calculate rule-based litigation deadlines and provide reports for attorneys
- Assist with managing the docket
- Calendar management
- Monitor federal and state court dockets and maintain computerized case dockets.
- Conduct document searches at federal and state courts and government agencies.
- Monitor cases and conduct research on litigants and coordinate with outside vendors to obtain publicly filed documents.
- Provide guidance and research on procedural and administrative questions, rule changes and judges' information.
- Regularly communicate with court clerkstate and federal electronic filings.
- Liaise with attorneys, staff, clients, vendors, court employees
