What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cash Applications Specialist position at Beacon Hill?
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local client in their search for a Cash Applications Specialist to join their team. This role will work closely with accounts receivable, collections, and customer support teams to ensure accurate reconciliation of accounts. As well as supporting month end close processes by delivering precise cash application records. This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring several days a week in office. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately apply incoming payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) to customer accounts in the accounting system.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and short/over payments.
- Collaborate with accounts receivable, collections, and customer service teams to ensure proper account reconciliation.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all cash transactions for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Assist in month-end closing by providing accurate cash receipts data and supporting documentation.
