Circuit Board Design Engineer III (Onsite in Simi Valley, CA)

One of our clients in Simi Valley, California is looking for Circuit Board Design Engineer III with the following skills and experience :

Position Summary :

In this role as an as a Circuit Board Design Engineer III you'll work on high-impact projects that deliver actionable intelligence and precision firepower for modern warfighters. Your expertise in circuit board design will be critical in ensuring the effectiveness of our systems.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, update, and troubleshoot complex PCBs using Altium Designer (v19 or higher) .
• Perform component placement, routing, and stack-up design for multilayer boards (up to 14 layers), ensuring compliance with DFM and EMI / EMC standards.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineers on schematic updates (80% existing designs) and PCB fabricators to optimize manufacturability.
• Create and maintain PCB libraries, documentation, and fabrication files (e.g., ODB , assembly drawings).
• Conduct signal integrity analysis and ensure adherence to IPC standards and protocols like RS-485, CAN, I2C, SPI, and USB.
• Support cross-functional teams to improve design rules and test / manufacture guidelines.
