What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Accountant position at Beacon Hill?
Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local private sector client in the search for a Corporate Accountant to join their growing team. This position will report directly to the Finance Director and will be responsible for all SEC reporting efforts, including filing both 10-K and 10-Q forms. Candidates must have a firm knowledge of SEC compliance standards and must have proficiency in financial reporting. Essential Job Duties
- File annual 10-K and quarterly 10-Q reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries and accruals
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to management
- Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and reporting
- Monitor cash flow and assist in financial risk management
