Position Overview:
A financial services company is looking to add an entry-level accountant to their corporate team. In this role, you will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
Help maintain general ledger accounts and assist with journal entries.
Assist with audits by providing necessary financial documentation and reports.
Collaborate with other departments to gather data and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior internship experience within the accounting field.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles such as GAAP.
Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a desire for professional growth.
