Fund Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking an Fund Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our dedicated finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate investment records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting functions for assigned portfolios, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investment reports. Analyze financial statements to identify trends and variances.
• Ensure activities are in accordance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls. Support audit requests and document retention processes.
• Coordinate and manage trade settlements in collaboration with external custodians, brokers, and internal teams.
• Monitor and forecast cash flows for investment portfolios, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting systems, streamline processes, and implement best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, CFA, or progress toward a relevant certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in investment accounting, financial services, or a similar environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or investment accounting systems). Familiarity with GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
