What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Beacon Hill?
Beacon Hill's client, a law firm known for providing tailored legal services to small and mid-sized businesses as well as large corporations, is seeking an experienced litigation paralegal. The firm offers support across a variety of practice areas, with a heavy emphasis on its Aviation group, airline defense, and Trusts & Estates litigation. It is also a majority woman-owned firm with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
- Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) - Seattle, WA 98101
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: Open-ended with potential for direct hire
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM (flexible to 8 AM - 5 PM); 40-hour work week
- Hourly pay: $44/hour - $56/hour, depending on experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- 4 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- eDiscovery experience is a plus
- Substantive knowledge of legal terminology and court rules and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency using document review software
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Collaborative work style with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with drafting and review of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Communicate with clients, advisors, opposing counsel, and other involved parties
- Manage the collection, production, and review of high-volume discovery
- Conduct legal and factual research
- Summarize depositions, trial transcripts, and other legal documents
- Provide onsite support at trials and hearings
- Prepare exhibits and trial notebooks
- Track and manage multiple deadlines
- Organize case files and maintain client records
- Coordinate filings in all levels of federal and state courts and administrative agencies
