Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with an organization in Virginia Beach, VA to bring a Staff Accountant to their team. In this role, you will play a key part in the preparation and analysis of financial data, supporting the overall financial health of the company. Key Responsibilities :
- General Ledger Management : Assist with maintaining accurate and complete general ledger entries, including reviewing and posting journal entries.
- Month-End Close : Support the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Account Reconciliation : Prepare and reconcile bank and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Financial Reporting : Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Audit Support : Provide assistance during internal and external audits by preparing documentation and answering auditor inquiries.
- Tax Compliance : Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.
- Other Duties : Assist with special projects, ad hoc reports, and other accounting tasks as needed.
