Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Community and School Based (CSBBH) Worker/Behavioral Health Technician who is responsible to provide behavioral support to the child or adolescent and their family in specified areas of social, behavioral and emotional concern and needs that have been identified by the child/youth and family and addressed in the treatment plan. To provide support to the child that facilitates the growth and development of the child. To assist the in the development of therapeutic support skills in the parents, family members, educators, social supports, service providers and others to ensure that such support is maintained for the child as professional interventions are decreased and terminated. To provide case management support to individuals and families enrolled in the program including but not limited to attending clinical team meetings and scheduling coordination of ISPT meetings.
Beacon Light has partnered with various school districts in Pennsylvania to offer Mental Health treatment in a flexible Community and School-Based Behavioral Health (CSBBH) model.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- A bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field preferred.
- Two years of paid experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- in lieu of the 4-year degree requirement, may include students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) who are in their senior year, have completed at least 30 credits in social work-required courses, and have completed short field experiences (requirements for the BSW degree) at the time of hire. The required 450-hour internship that counts for course credit may be completed during their employment a CSBBH provider.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
This position gives preference to individuals with an active driver's license and a DMV check that is clear. Position may require travel 25-50% of the time in the local community or to assist with individuals attending required appointments or visits.
