Key Responsibilities
- Foster a strong partnership with the Operations Manager ensuring all repair and maintenance functions support the daily mission of the organization.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, buses, and snow removal equipment.
- Manage preventive maintenance programs and ensure DOT compliance.
- Prepare and review specifications for vehicle purchases and budget recommendations.
- Supervise technicians and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Approve purchase orders and track warranty reimbursements and claims.
- Monitor fleet KPIs, including cost per mile, downtime, and direct labor performance.
- Investigate vehicle complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Inspect work areas for safety compliance and resolve issues.
- Conduct hiring, technical training, and employee evaluations.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis as needed.
