We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented recent graduate to join our inside sales team as an Inbound Logistics Coordinator. This position will focus on coordinating inbound logistics for raw materials to our processing facilities, helping us achieve monthly volume targets while staying within budget. You will act as a key liaison between customers, drivers, and internal teams, ensuring smooth operations, timely deliveries, and exceptional service. The successful candidate will play a vital role in streamlining our supply chain processes, driving efficiency, and contributing to a strong safety culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITILIES
- Transportation Coordination: Schedule and coordinate the transportation of inbound materials from various locations to our processing facilities, with a focus on meeting monthly tonnage goals.
- Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact between drivers, customers, and processing facilities. Collaborate with drivers to optimize routes and manage schedules, while also addressing customer inquiries and coordinating with processing facilities to ensure smooth operations. Facilitate effective communication among all parties, resolve any issues that arise during transport or material handling, and proactively manage expectations to maintain high levels of satisfaction and operational efficiency
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor and track shipments using logistics software to ensure timely delivery and maintain accurate records to be shared company wide
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels of shredder feed at the facility to meet production needs by utilizing Beacon’s ERP software for reporting, audits, etc.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to streamline the overall supply chain process, fostering a collaborative environment. Assist in all aspects of logistics as needed.
- Customer Communication: Proactively engage with customers via phone and email to develop long-term customer relationships by arranging pickup times, addressing concerns, providing updates on shipment status.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field (recent graduates welcome) is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be comfortable making phone calls to customers
- Basic understanding of logistics, transportation principles, customer service and follow through
