Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage HR operations for exempt and non-exempt teams, including staffing, training, leadership development, career planning, workforce development, performance management, salary planning, talent development, succession planning, employee relations, and overall human resource compliance.
  2. Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives across the organization.
  3. Actively manage organizational talent and workforce planning processes.
  4. Participate in organization-wide HR initiatives, including leadership and employer-of-choice efforts.
  5. Create and implement a positive employee relations program at all locations.
  6. Demonstrate ability to lead engagement and retention initiatives.
  7. Effectively manage communication plans and HR strategy for annual HR processes (e.g., Performance Management, Salary Planning, Talent Reviews).
  8. Provide HR policy guidance, interpretation, employee and labor relations guidance, and day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  9. Manage leave of absence process and transitional duty process.
  10. Facilitate resolution of payroll and timekeeping administration issues.
  11. Provide guidance and compensation recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers.
  12. Partner with Regional Safety Managers to ensure effectiveness of company safety programs and initiatives.
  13. Attend administrative staff meetings and other meetings/seminars; maintain regional organization charts and employee directory.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of full scope human resources management experience, with related industry experience preferred.
  • Prior work experience with a Fortune 500 company known for its HR practices is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or human resources, or a related field, with advanced academic and professional training preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and process orientation.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset with the ability to lead, implement, and facilitate change.
  • Strong employee relations background required, with relatable labor relations experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience working in changing environments, managing through complexity, and driving change.
  • Strong influencing and coaching skills, with proven experience developing and coaching a team.
  • Ability to be effective in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Experience communicating with and influencing all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working in a demanding, high-performance work environment and team-oriented culture.
  • Must be able to think strategically but also willing to take action.
